Promotions
Shops which are distributed by the OTA with a promotion will be flagged in
FornovaDI and seen in the grid view
Re-shopping (Smart on Demand)
Re-shopping (Smart On-demand) From top to bottom, here are the
Icon’s legend:
• Icon with a green dot means that the shop has changed to Meet
• Icon with a yellow dot means that the shop has changed to Beat
• Icon with a red dot means that the shop stayed in Lose status
• The grey icon with the word “Brand” means that the shop became
unavailable on the Brand.com
On Demand
The Manual “On Demand” feature allows you to choose “Lose” shops in
FornovaDI and request to rescan them. A set of icons, flagging these
shops will be presented in the grid view along with a timestamp of the data
acquisition time. From top to bottom, here are the icon’s legend
• Icon with a Green dot means that the shop has changed to Meet
• Icon with a yellow dot means that the shop changed to Beat
• Icon with a red dot means that the shop stayed in Lose status
• A grey icon with no timestamp or the letter M means that the request to
re-shop failed
• A grey icon with the word “Brand” mean that the shop turned unavailable on
the Brand.com
• A grey icon with the word “OTA” mean that the shop turned unavailable on the
OTA site
Pre-set Filters
Located on the right side on the grid view, the pre-set filters
allow you to select the data to your needs.
The data can be filtered by:
• Channel – the channel from which the data was acquired.
• POS
• Region – the region that the hotel is associated with
• Cluster – the cluster that the hotel is associated with.
• Hotel name
• Check-in date
• OTA – the OTA that the brand.com rates were compared to
• LOS – Length of stay
• Inventory (3rd party or Direct) – filter by the type of
distributed inventory
• Status – filter the shops according to the root cause
analysis status
• Severe Cases
• Re-shop – Shops that were re-shopped
• Promotions – showing shops which were sold as a part of a
promotion on the OTA site
• On Demand – filter the shops that were requested for on
demand shopping.
Action bar
Located on the top right side of the grid view, the action bar allows you to take action
with your selected shops. The actions available in the bar from left to right are:
• On-demand – execute On-demand scan on selected shops
• Root cause analysis - Set the root cause reason to the selected shops
• Test Reservation – send the selected shops to Fornova’s reservation team. The test reservation team will try to book the requested shop based on the agreed terms.
• Focus actions - show only the selected shops in the grid. Clicking on this option
will remove all the unselected shops and will show in the grid only the selected ones
• Expand/Collapse - will expand or collapse the grid view to show or hide the trend graphs.
• Download – Clicking on the download will download a CSV file with the selected shops
• Share – share your selected shops by email

When clicking on a shop in the grid, a popup with the shop details will show
OTA column
The OTA column in the grid view will show the origin of the rate that will be compared
to the Brand.com rate
Channel column
A channel in the grid view represents the source of that data that was scanned to
acquire the data. In cases were the OTA site was scanned, the channel will have the
same value as in the OTA column. In cases were a Meta site was scanned to acquire
the data, the channel will be the same Meta site
Price Diff column
The Price Diff (%) column will show the price gap between the Brand.com & the
provider in percentage
Grid view
A table view showing a list of shops based on the requested filter
PoS
The Point of Sale that was used to acquire the shop’s data
LoS
Length of Stay that was used when acquiring the shop’s data
Check-in
The check-in used to acquire the shop’s data
Scan date
The date that the data acquisition process initiated
Providers
Providers are OTAs distributing the hotel's rooms. The providers can be contracted
OTAs or Non-contracted OTAs
Provider & Channels
A distribution channel that the Brand.com rates are compared with, for example,
Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Ctrip, Tripadvisor
Shop
A shop is the result of a comparison between the brand.com & a provider in
FornovaDI. A shop consists of the following parameters:
• Hotel name
• Scan date
• Check-in (CI) date
• LOS
• POS
• Channel
• OTA
Timestamp
On the screenshots the time which the data was acquired
Total price
Total price represents the total amount the guest will pay to reserve the hotel room,
this price includes all taxes.
Shown price
Shown price represents the rate that is shown on the web site
Compared price
The rate type that is used for comparison
Screenshot
A link to the screenshot taken when acquiring the data
Net price
Net price represents the price without any taxes applied
Currency
The currency that is used to compare the prices and the conversion rate used to
calculate the rate in the used currency
Classify root cause
An additional tab on the shop details the root cause analysis for the parity issue found.
Member rate data
From the Dashboard section, you can drill down to the data, comparing the member
rate from the brand.com site with the different providers (OTAs or MSEs)

On the Dashboard section, you have an option to view comparisons with the member
rate prices.

Brand bid on meta
There are two methods used to compare the hotel’s rate to rates distributed on
the Meta sites:
If the hotel is bidding on the meta and their rates exist when acquiring the shop’s
data, the rates of the providers will be compared to the hotel’s bid rate. In this
case, an icon of the Channel will be shown in the grid view
In cases where there is no hotel bid, the rates of the providers will be compared
to the rates, we acquired from the Brand.com site. In this case, no icon will be present
